RICHARD D. HAILEY SCHOLARSHIP
AAJ’s Minority Caucus will award a $5,000 scholarship to a minority law student member who is entering his/her first, second, or third year of law school. The winner must attend the AAJ Annual Convention in San Diego, Cal. to receive the award. Travel and accommodations will be provided.

APABA PUBLIC INTEREST SCHOLARSHIP
Established in 2000, the APABA Public Interest Scholarship is awarded annually to a law student who demonstrates a commitment to making a contribution to the Asian Pacific American community. The APABA Public Interest Fellow receives a $5,000 grant to spend at least 10 weeks of his or her summer working at a Los Angeles County nonprofit organization in a unit that serves the APIA community.

LMJ SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
In 2004, the MCCA established the Lloyd M. Johnson, Jr. Scholarship (“LMJ Scholarship”) program. The LMJ Scholarship program seeks to nurture the academic and professional careers of outstanding law students and advancing the diversity pipeline to the legal profession. The LMJ Scholarship Program provides financial support to incoming first-year law students pursuing a juris doctorate degree. Up to 6 scholarships of $10,000 will be awarded to incoming first year law students.

THE SILVERMAN, MCDONALD & FRIEDMAN EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
This $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a law student who is dedicated to upholding the rights of the injured. The successful candidate will be enrolled, or have proof of future enrollment, in an accredited college, university or law school for the upcoming academic year.

THE CRANDALL & PERA LAW LEGAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship awards $3,000 to a student who has demonstrated an interest in a career as a trial lawyer, and a passion for representing injured individuals whose rights have been jeopardized.

PECK LAW FIRM SCHOLARSHIP
Only students, who have a 3.0 GPA or higher may apply for this scholarship. This $2,000 scholarship award will be sent directly to the winner’s school and can be used for all school-related expenses.

The Judge John R. Brown Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce the twenty-sixth annual Brown Award. The Award honors excellence in legal writing in American law schools. Any law student currently enrolled in an accredited law school in the United States seeking a J.D. or LL.B degree is eligible to submit a paper for the Award. There are multiple awards for 2019, including a $10,000 First Place award, a $5,000 Second Place award and a $3,000 Third Place award.

LGBT PUBLIC INTEREST SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Starting in 2019 the SOGI Commission is pleased to announce the inauguration of the ABA SOGI LGBT Scholarship Program, aimed at recent law students and/or law school graduates studying for the Bar who are either LGBTQ or who will be working in the LGBTQ space doing public interest work. One or more scholarships of up to $5000 each will be awarded.
